Tissue repair peptides
Tissue repair peptides groups 8 indexed compounds. Also written as repair peptides, regenerative peptides, wound healing peptides.
Definition
This grouping covers peptides whose retrieved research literature is predominantly concerned with tissue repair endpoints in laboratory and animal models, rather than a single shared receptor. Members do not share one mechanism: a 1991 Journal of Biological Chemistry paper identifies thymosin beta 4 as an actin-sequestering peptide, while a 2014 Current Pharmaceutical Design paper frames BPC 157 in terms of a relation to the nitric oxide system.
[1, 2]Class-level mechanism as reported
Because the grouping is defined by research endpoint rather than by receptor, the class-level mechanism is deliberately not stated as one pathway. Compound pages carry the individual mechanism. The retrieved literature includes actin dynamics for thymosin beta 4 and copper-complex antioxidant activity for the GHK-Cu tripeptide, reviewed in a 2012 paper in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity.

| Compound | Other names | Peptide | Reported half-life |
|---|---|---|---|
| BPC-157 | PL 14736, PL-10, PLD-116 | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |
| Thymosin beta 4 | TB4, thymosin b4 | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |
| GHK-Cu | copper tripeptide, copper tripeptide-1, glycyl-histidyl-lysine copper | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |
| TB-500 | TB500, thymosin beta 4 fragment 17-23, Ac-LKKTETQ | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |
| KPV | Lys-Pro-Val, alpha-MSH 11-13, KPV peptide | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |
| LL-37 | cathelicidin LL-37, hCAP-18 derived peptide, human cathelicidin | Yes | Unknown No pharmacokinetics source was retrieved in v1. PubChem does not carry half-life as a property, so this is recorded as not yet sourced rather than estimated. |

| ARA 290 | cibinetide, ARA290 | Yes | Withheld pending qualified review |
2 of 8 compounds in this class are withheld pending qualified review, so their reported values are not shown here and their pages are not published. They are listed because the class is incomplete without them.
